President's Message

Dear Chapter Members:

My name is Gary York, and it is my pleasure to represent you, the members of the Toronto Chapter of the Credit Institute of Canada, as your President.

We are a strong and active Chapter with 662 designation holders and students. It takes the dedication and hard work from many volunteers to enable our Chapter to stay vibrant.

As President, I dedicate myself to the membership to listen to your feedback and working with our Chapter Board and National Office create plans to implement approved suggestions that align with the future goals of National Office.

Over this past year our Chapter events were well received. If you didn’t have a chance to attend, I invite you to participate in a future event as we are looking forward to an exciting year. To ensure you receive event notices keep your contact email up to date.

Your Special Events committee needs to hear from you on how they can best meet your needs when creating events that are informative, educational and create networking opportunities. Coming up with interesting and pertinent topics for all Toronto Chapter members is a challenge – your input is important.

I encourage all members – new graduates, current students, and longstanding members to take an active interest in our chapter.

My leadership style is to empower Committee Chairs to work with their committee members to create and bring forward ideas to the board for feedback and approval.

If you would like to join the board, have suggestions or ideas, reach out to any board member or send an email to toronto@creditedu.org.

Thank you for the opportunity and privilege of being your President for the next term.

Respectfully yours,
Gary York, CCP
President
