ECCP FAQs

The Executive Certified Credit Professional (ECCP) is a brand-new program from the Credit Institute of Canada (CIC) that is specifically designed for CCP designated professionals who aspire to a senior leadership role in credit. Upon successful completion of the program, you will become eligible to receive the designation of ECCP.

The new ECCP program will provide you with the opportunity to enhance your professional knowledge and recognition and help you push your skills even higher. The new ECCP can help you showcase your leadership, expertise, skills, and knowledge as a credit professional. With the new ECCP, you can strengthen your ability as a credit leader, expand your recognition, and open the door to growing your career.
We recognize the important role that companies, and organizations play in supporting the ongoing professional development of their employees.  To help you request assistance from your company in embarking on your professional development journey in obtaining your ECCP, the Credit Institute of Canada has developed a  template letter  and accompanying  brochure  that you can use.

Students achieve the Executive Certified Credit Professional (ECCP) designation by successfully completing the following requirements:

  • Successful completion of four advanced-level courses
  • CCP membership in good standing
  • Minimum 10 years in credit industry

Your experience in credit and/or collections or in accounts receivable outside of Canada counts towards the required years of experience.
