Position Statement

Why I am Running for Re-election.
I am running for re-election as National Director for the Prairie Region for the Credit Institute of Canada.

I served on the Manitoba Board for ten years, and two years as National Director for the Prairie Region. I have lots of respect for how the organization works both locally and nationally, and that respect has grown over the past two years as I have worked with many wonderful people across Canada.

I really value my membership with the CIC and my designation has made a difference to my job. I think that our designations are amazingly relevant and accessible, and the great value is in the skills earned but also the boost in confidence and career.

More than ever, I have come to appreciate the people involved with the CIC. I have met people from across the country and have never felt so welcome as I have among CIC professionals. I have been warmly welcomed at social or grad events, at virtual meetings, and even was put up for the night by a fellow member when travelling.

This is a community I am thrilled to be a part of. I feel that I have the skills to continue to help the CIC grow, and to continue to be part of selling the great message about the Canadian credit community and its people.

That is why I am running and why I am asking the members to re-elect me as National Director.
