President's Message
Annual General Meeting (AGM)
APRIL 29, 2025
It is the start of 2025 and spring has finally arrived. As credit professionals, we strive to keep current on the latest trends in the economy and best industry practices. It has been a good year for the Credit Institute of Canada – Saskatchewan Chapter with a dedicated team of board members and membership working hard this past year. We welcome 2025 and all there is to come as I am sure it will not disappoint.
Looking back on 2024 and as we reflect on the year that was, networking and renewing old relationships and being out having fun golfing in the hot sun!
We held our virtual AGM in April electing a group of dedicated credit individuals to help guide the Saskatchewan Chapter. We had one ECCP graduate this year as being the first and only new Executive Certificate Credit Professional (ECCP) in Saskatchewan. In June, the CIC held the National Conference in Halifax which was well attended offering excellent sessions and networking opportunities. Many training webinar sessions were offered by National office along with students continuing on their educational path virtually working towards their professional CCP designation and various certificates that are offered through Credit Institute of Canada. This fall, Saskatoon hosted a half day seminar on Financial Statement Analysis in conjunction with our graduation ceremony. We are very proud of our students, membership and their desire to enhance their skills through education.
I would like to acknowledge the board of the Saskatchewan Chapter for the work that they complete for the membership whether it be encouraging our students through education, taking minutes during our meetings or working on connecting credit professionals with the organization, it is all appreciated. We congratulate Saskatchewan’s only ECCP graduate and encourage other CCP’s to enroll in the Executive training course.
The Saskatchewan Chapter is here for its members and students. If there is anything you need, please reach out to us. If you are interested in joining the Sask Chapter executive or have questions about the benefits of a Certified Credit Professional (CCP) designation or Executive Certificate Credit Professional (ECCP) program, please send us an email.
We look forward to a great year going forward in 2025-2026 and to gather, network and to be a continuous learner within our industry. Thank you for your continued support.
