Materials suppliers ordinarily appear at the bottom of the construction pyramid. Unfortunately, many suppliers are taken advantage of due to their lack of knowledge of their legal rights and of the obligations that contracts and sub-contractors have to them. In this MasterClass Series, we aim to educate incoming credit managers and controllers on the rudimentary and advanced obligations that contractors and sub-contractors owing to materials suppliers. This three-party series will first look at an introduction to the basic obligations, such as the contractual relationships, then it will focus on more advanced considerations affecting materials suppliers, and finally will provide a live case study in application of learned materials. This MasterClass series is recommended for all individuals, with or without prior construction industry experience.
