President & Dean’s Report

JUNE 15, 2017

I am both honoured and humbled by the vote of confidence from the Board of Directors and all of our members that has allowed me to be elected as your incoming President and Dean. I have been a CIC member for 25 years and have served on various Boards at the Chapter level for the last 20 years including serving terms as President of the Conestoga Chapter and the National Credit & Financial Executives Forum.

I shall endeavour to work hard to serve all of you to the best of my ability. I am pleased to have the support of a very strong and passionate Board of Directors with diverse backgrounds, and a dedicated General Manager and staff at the Credit Institute office. Collectively, we all have one goal, and that is to see the Credit Institute grow and serve the needs of you - our members.

We strive to keep up with the changing face of the business world and adapt our business model to equip our members with the tools and the education needed to grow in your careers and assist your companies to grow and prosper. Our institute is nearly nine decades old and we are working on a new strategic plan that will allow us to grow and serve our members for the next nine decades and beyond. We live in a business world that is very different from the world the CIC was born in and we will grow and adapt to meet the changing needs of our members. Our world is changing and the Institute will change along with it.

Thank you to Dana Swekla for doing such a great job as President and Dean for the last two years, it has been a pleasure to work with such a strong and dedicated President. I look forward to continuing the work she has started!

Again, I thank you for the vote of confidence and I look forward to serving you for the next two years.

Thank you

Tracey Skipp, CCP
