Quaker Oats Trophy
Members are the core of the Institute and the Chapters are the glue - keeping us together and solid. One of the ways that the Credit Institute recognizes the achievements of the Chapters is through the annual awarding of the Quaker Oats Cup. Every year at the Credit Institute of Canada Annual General Meeting the Quaker Oats Award is presented to a Chapter based on their activities regarding member and student engagement.
About The Award
The trophy was donated by the Quaker Oats Company Limited of Peterborough, Ontario in June 1932. Since then, it has been awarded annually. It is awarded to the chapter that performs the best and shows the greatest improvement in a number of criteria related to student engagement, activities, and membership recruitment.
2017-18 Winner: South Western Ontario Chapter
At the 2018 AGM held at the Four Points Hotel in Mississauga, Ontario, the Quaker Oats Trophy was awarded to the South Western Ontario Chapter.
This chapter demonstrated the strength and relevance of the Credit Institute. Members worked hard to showcase the value of our esteemed organization and the impact that a solidly trained credit professional has on our economy. Congratulations to South Western Ontario Chapter President Blair DeMarco-Wettlaufer, ACI and Ontario Region Directors Ken Young, CCP (Emeritus), Bonnie Mayes, CCP, and Ed Walsh, CCE CCP. They, along with the volunteer leaders and all of valued members, continue to be CCP ambassadors!
