Welcome to the Credit Institute of Canada – Atlantic Chapter.
Welcome to our chapter!
The start of 2025 has started off very strong for the Atlantic Chapter of the Credit Institute of Canada. The 2024 Board of Directors has already hosted a successful graduation event that included a seminar, AGM and graduation ceremony. This strong start carried forward with Atlantic Chapter having hosted a very successful national conference. A lot of hard work went into the event, and I was glad to hear of its success. I would like to thank everyone that made it happen, more specifically the National office for their support, the Atlantic board of directors, and two past Presidents Amada Anderson and Roger McCaie who put a tremendous amount of hard work into the event.
The Atlantic chapter does not look to slow down in 2025, it has already appointed a new board of directors that has a lot of new faces to the board. No doubt bringing new ideas to the board in addition to the experience of several other key members. Fresh off one event, we have already started planning for another graduation event in October/November, please keep an eye out for that event. It will be posted on the Atlantic Chapter website and shared on the Atlantic Chapter LinkedIn site. Please look for us on LinkedIn as we look to expand our community’s communication and keep our member involved.
I personally look forward to serving as your Atlantic President for the first time and look forward to seeing all of our members at events to promote the Credit Institute of Canada and to continue our growth in knowledge and education. I highly encourage you to participate in these events and join our small but mighty community of credit professionals. I speak for the board when I say that we want your involvement and input on these events and want to hear from you. Please reach out to any board member of myself if you have questions, want to know more about membership, or have any suggestions on topics you would like to see covered in the future.
We look forward to continuing our education in the 2025/2026 year. We can’t wait to see everyone there with us to stay ahead of the curve in current Credit and Collection items, hopefully at the same time to stay ahead of bad debtors, at the very least having the necessary tools needed to deal with them. If we do not know you yet, we would love to meet you! To our new board, I look forward to working with you, lets make this year a great year for our members.
Sincerely
Justin McAdam, CCP
Credit Institute of Canada – President of Atlantic Chapter
